Hi,

There is a lady on the Lancashire board who regularly goes into Manchester library and she usually posts on the "Look Up Offers" board when her next visit is.  She has just done a visit at the end of January so it will probably be a few weeks until the next one but do keep a look out.

Manchester Library also do a postal service so you could obtain a copy of the entry from the parish register this way.  You do have to know the exact date and church and you already have this information.  I have used the service in the past and it is very good.  It costs £2.50 including postage which I think is good value compared to the cost of a GRO certificate and the entry in the parish register after 1837 should give you the same information as a GRO certificate.  The details are on this link:-
