What an absolute gem you are Val. To have that info pop up on my screen just out of the blue, so to speak, was amazing. Her Ferguson parents too will be a valuable addition to my tree.
I was reading it last night and got so carried away with it that I poured myself a couple of drams more than I should have. And no, I don’t have six toes. There is a peculiarity that runs in the family though but my sisters don’t like it being mentioned.
Isn’t it a sheer stroke of luck that Daniel registered the death as her ‘son-in-law’ and not as her stepson.
It solves the question I raised here
HereAbout Ann’s DOB. .. I read somewhere that ‘Ann’ was often used as a variation for ‘Janet’ so I did a search for Janet McNaughtan. I re-did the search today and the date comes up as 27th Sept 1807. Don’t recall where I got the August date but I imagine that will be the date of birth and the September date will be the Christening.
Thank you too for the list of Mary’s sibling but I am confused as to why there are two Margaret’s there.
You have certainly given me plenty of info to mess about with and for that, you have my sincere thanks.
Cheers.
