Hello Andrew,

Thank you for that information. Since my last post I was able to order the death cert. of Harvey THOMSON - up until that time he seemed to have just disappeared from New Zealand. Do you know anything of his life in Australia or why he chose to go there after New Zealand. I would love to know more about the family  and the son that went to Australia (please feel free to PM me with info.). Harvey THOMSON (1825-1888) seems to be quite an interesting character - living in Shanghai after his wife's death while his children stayed in Scotland, then coming to NZ before going to Melbourne. Do you have any more details about his life in China or Australia?

My name is Robert Ireson Jones, son of Henry Ireson Jones, son of Harvey Ireson Jones, son of FREDERICK Ireson Jones, son of Henry Ireson Jones & Ellen Parkinson.
All that said, I have so many questions & no answers, so anyone want to ask me any questions, feel free, & I will attept to answer what I can, & that , with a little co-operation may start to fill in holes in everyones Family Trees.
