SMITH GreatGrandparents grave in Aberdour
« on: Tuesday 08 February 11 03:16 GMT (UK) »
Searching for the grave and stone of my GGrandparents Thomas Smith 1872-1952 and his wife Sarah Smith (maiden name Ballantine) 1872- 1950. I believe they were buried in Aberdour? They resided at 55 Humbie Terrace Aberdour, Fife in their later years but brought their family up on the outskirts of Burntisland in a set of 'worker's cottages' by the old sandstone mine on the road to Aberdour called 'The Ninelums'.
My uncle, who was a monumental sculptor told my father he had come across it years ago while working there but that it was quite overgrown and barely readable?   Anyone have a clue?  Thanks ::)
