David family: St Dogwells Look up

Hi,
Was wondering whether any one could find a Mary David born c.1809 and married David William 3rd July 1821 in St Dogwells ?
Any information about parents would be great or has anyone got information on the David family in Pembrokeshire.

Hi Morgan,
Sorry about this!

I am going on the age given  for Mary on the 1841 census for Letterston (HO107 /1444 / 14/20 Page: 14 )  . Mary was 30 years of age in 1841 which would make her 10 in 1821 !

On the 1851 census she is down as 42 years of age which would mean she was born in 1809 and therefore 12 in 1821! That can't be right.

My Great Grandfather was Peter William(s) but he was born in St Dogwells in 1821!I thought Mary and William were his parents.
I've gone wrong somewhere!

I have a date for a marriage between a David  William  (Letterston) and a Mary David in St Dogwells for 3rd July 1821 but this cannot be right?
Any ideas ?

Do you have the marriage of Peter William? This would hopefully give Peter's Father's name and occupation.

There's a possibility with marriage of Peter William and Elizabeth Smith in 1844 (June Q)

Thanks for getting back again to me and trying to help me sort this out.
I have this information about Peter William(s)
Marriage 21st May 1844 at the parish church  in the parish of Llanfair Nant y Gof in the county of Pembroke. Peter William and Elizabeth Smith . Bachelor and Spinster. Carpenter and servant. Father’s: David William (farmer) and John Smith Mason.
And I think I have found him in  the 1841 Census in Letterston as  Peter William(s) 18 Carpenter’s apprentice.
Is that any good?
Perhaps the date for Mary David's birth is way out ?
Confused.

Perhaps it would help if these threads where marked completed and new simple thread shown as to what is actually being sort.

I was going to have a look at a couple of things at the Rec Office, but not sure that is such a good idea until I can try and see the wood for the trees

Herewith are a couple of baptism I noted at Letterston whilst at the Rec Off today for 1802 and 1806.
Whilst there are a very few baptism entries from 1782, the register only really covers from 1801 onwards. I would suggest you need to consult the National Library to see if BT's survive pre 1801.
