While researching in shropshire I came across one person called Abostooke,as anyone any information
regarding this name.

Are you sure it isn't a mis-transcription?
Where exactly did you find it and what date is on the document

Thanks for the reply.I did look at alternative spellings,meanings etc but am still looking.
The name came up in a wedding of John Abstooke and Elizabeth Watke or Watkiss on the 2nd of June
1569 in Shawbury Shropshire.
