I am trying to find the death of a Charles Griggs who was born circa 1805, youngest child born 1849 in Elham, Kent and then wife Ann listed as a widow living in Charlton, Dover in 1851 - so in other words he died betwen 1848 and 1851 (assuming his wife told the truth to the census taker!).
I imagine he was buried without a headstone, but I wonder if anyone has burial records for Dover that might help?
There is a death in Dover in 1854 but we have ruled that one out.
