Hi,

Huddersfield and District Family History Society might be able to help;  also the local archives.

Try looking here:

Round Ings appears to be a road rather than a property. Do you know the original name of the property you want to find out about? Maybe consult the deeds, or try the planning department. Somewhere there is a website with photographs of listed buildings - try googling for it.

Thank you everyone for the information.  It is the barn I am particularly interested in.  I believe it is around six hundred years old.  Although it is a barn I believe it was also lived in upstairs around the mistral.  Other than the fact it it listed and a picture of it recently the council are unable to tell me any other details.  I will check the 1901 census, as someone suggested.

Many thanks

Any further information appreciated.

There was a Hall Ings in Bradford I remember. i think it is a Yorkshire name for something (an area or yard or pond)
This post is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty and in no way are to be considered flaws. Unfortunately my preferred method of writing (Parker Quink on Basildon Bond) cannot be used.

Its the barn I am trying to research.  I believe it has habit-ed circa 1600.  Then other than being used for cattle is was derelict.  I have tried the deeds and google.  I have found listings on a couple of census - however none show anything for the barn. Although it is listed only one listed building website shows the reference.  However there seems to be no other information available.  How do I research so far back ?

Thanks

Jo

This is a job for the record office! West Yorkshire archives appear to have the deeds for Round Ings from 1610 -1828. I'm not sure what you are hoping to find out though?

Hope this works. Sorry, I don't know how to do shortened links.
