Near North Bradley in Wiltshire there are two hamlets (originally squatters on common land in C19) named Scotland and Ireland. There used to be a finger post sign with something like "Scotland 1/2; Ireland 1/4" on it. It would be good to know that it still exists!

   There's a Grape Lane in York that had the same origin. There was obviously a lot of it about!
Bridge: GT Catworth, Hunts, and surrounding area
French: Blisworth,  and W. Northants

Last one says it all...i reckon you would move from Cox Bight to Dismal Swamp  ;D

Somewhere near Birmingham we laughed at a road called Dog Poo Lane, then we realised some wag had sprayed out the 'l'.
