Nice to have a few overseas ideas from Oz, but there are must be far more in the UK. What about Stains? Or Rottingdean in Sussex? Or Dymchurch in Kent? And is Horsham in Sussex misspelt?

I really think some of you could try a bit more!!!!

Rob

Now you know why we pronounce it as Horsh'um

And how would you have liked to live in Starvation Brow in Wigan, Lancs during the 1880's ??  Boy ! as if it wasn't enough to be poor in those days, they had to rub it in as well !!

???Some of mine lived at Paradise Row in Bishops Stortford c1891 - I often wonder what it was really like.

Today I drove down a street in Lewes (Sussex), full of up market large houses. It was called Rotten Row!

Pam

You might need to be careful that OFFHAM (near Lewes in Sussex) does not leave a nasty taste in the mouth!! :o
