Hi
Many thanks for answers for my previous thread.
I know i have asked similar questions before about townland and parishes.
I have downloaded some maps of the county of Roscommon and particular of a place called Ballagh.
The map shows the townland boundaries in the catholic parish of Ballagh but in then states their historical name given as Cloontuskert,Kilgefin, and Curraghroe. Does this mean that Ballagh in the past was called all these three names but at different times also these places are still on maps today.
The map shows all the townland boundaries in the catholic parish of Ballagh also there there are civil parishes within the catholic parish ,Lissonuffy civil parish,Cloontuskert civil parish,Kilgefin civil parish ,Cloonfinlough civil parish and Kilbride civil parish.
