Mentioned in Despatches
« on: Friday 04 February 11 10:10 GMT (UK) »
My father-in-law was mentioned in despatches in North Africa 1943. It was gazetted in November 1943. The incident took place in May 1943. He was mentioned for his part in saving some American airman from a plane that had crashed in to the sea. He was 1435081 Bombardier Albert G Littleton
Any idea where I could find a copy of the citation?

 - not having much luck finding him at either of these, do you know the exact date of the gazette and if anyone else was mentioned alongside him?
