I may of posted about Sarah Agnes Wilson Keyland before, maybe a new set of eyes will help.   I am stuck with her arrival to New Zealand.

Sarah was born abt 1864, her family moved to Durham England from Ireland.

On her recorded death with Christchurch Cemetery search it states Sarah lived in New Zealand for 65 years, that is making her about 15 years old when she came here.
http://librarydata.christchurch.org.nz/Cemeteries/interment.asp?surname=Fleet&firstname=&year1=&year2=

Find my past has no shipping records for Sarah for 1879 period or any other Keylands.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi - I haven't been on Rootschat for a long time.  My maiden name was Keyland and my father's name was Joseph.  His father was James Keyland.  There were two families - the first family's name was spelled differently - Keelan or something like that - there were five children I think. I believe they lived for a time in Scotland. James' wife died and he married Jane McKeown. Then there were four other children.  There was a farm in Toomebridge, Co. Antrim.  Is this the same Keyland?? Keyland is a rare name - I'm wondering if it is the same clan?

I have much more info on the Keyland family now, sadly I can not see where these other people may fit into this branch.
There was a James Keyland who married a Scottish lady and moved to Canada. But he would not be your family member.
Let me take some time to have another look, I have been down ill and not able to look at the computer without getting dizzy :-[
TEW family of Leire/Leicester and New Zealand
MERRICKS of Stafford/Birmingham
PENTECOST of Surrey and New Zealand
POTENTIER of France, England and Canada
WATKINS of London and New Zealand
WHITAKER of Guiseley Yorkshire and New Zealand
LYALL, of Dundee, Caithness and New Zealand

And far too many to add

Hi again

I am wondering if your line came from William Keyland born abt 1811 in Atrium?
William had a son named Henry who married Jane Money, they had a son named James born 1864, from there I lose him.
All the other James Keylands I have on my tree are accounted for and sadly no names match yours.
You can send me a personal message if you like.
