Cant see them in 1861, but in 1851 (using the names and ages of the older Catlow step children, Thomas 24 in 1871, James 21, Edward 20) they are at HO107 2250 638 40
and the Dad seems to be Thomas, not a blacksmith

Hi

A possible birth registration for Mary

September qtr 1857
Catlow  Mary Alice
Haslingden  8e 134

ADDED to eliminate this one -
Lancashire BMD has mothers maiden name as Simpson, the only two marriages on LancsBMD for a Catlow/Simpson are 1839 Accrington RD Thomas Catlow and Alice (probably the one lizb has found), the other is 1853 Haslingden RD James Catlow and Mary.

Thank you so much for looking, I should have mentioned , as it does say this on wedding cert, think its a district around that area, but could never find anymore.
I did look into that Doctor Catlow a few times as i recall but didn't really think it was her.
Now looking at last one by Rosie that looks very interesting, I am going to have to buy credit for 1861 and look more into this one.
Thank you everyone I really do appreciate all your help, i stopped this searching for 6 years due to me hitting a dead end

Hi

No, sorry you can't look up census on this site.

A***try has it transcribed as Mary A Cattow bn 1858 in 1871 parents John and Betty living Oswaldtwistle.  and in 1861 she is  transcribed as Mery Catlow bn 1858 parents as before.

Thank you just looked up on that site. Looks like this is the correct person, I also went into death records and found a Betty Catlow died in 1879 above her was a baby Annie 0 months, wondering if she has a baby and died in childbirth, as there is no mention of her when Mary A got married in 1879 to James Ashworth Delaney.
I do hope this is the correct one, I have tried other years, but cannot find anything at moment.

Just wondering if its worth using Elizabeth instead of Betty???

Thanks again for your help
Wendy
