Hi

The name Hannah may have been a mistake for Hanora/Honorah and her birth was 21 Sept 1869.

Hi Cando
Regarding Johanna and the birth date I received that when I went to wags last week but also had it in a family sheet from my cousin from years ago.
Annie's date of death and approx age we got from a funeral plaque that was ordered by her parents.
I have uploaded a copy but it is not very clear.
Cheers Merl

Cando

I am not sure where Johanna came from but I think it was from the S.A. BDM and I know Annie was younger than Nora.  If Hannah is Nora and was born in 1869 then the date for Johanna (who could be annie) would fit.

On the Electoral roll Richard was listed as a sawmill hand.

I have a photo in my grandmothers photo album of a plaque of Annie's death - she died at a very young age in 1895.

Cheers
Mary

Hi Essie

Thanks for your input.  Because I cannot find a Birth Certificate for Nora I tend to agree with you that Hannah could be Hanora or Honorah as Nora named her daughter (my Mother) Honora and because Ellen and richard would have had very broad irish accents when they pronounced Honora it could have sounded like Hannah.  I think I have exhausted almost every avenue for a Birth Certificate for Nora.

Thanks again for your help.

Mary

Hi Cando
Yes Richard was living at Wellington Mills in the 1910 electoral role and was with his children and family.  That was their home base.

Yes Merline but because I never heard my grandmother mention a Johanna that is why I think they may shortened Johanna to annie..

Thanks for the info Merl  :)  Did WAGS give you their source of information for the dob?  I am a bit lost...where did you 'upload a copy"...sorry Merl if I sound a bit dense ;)

The information on the death registration in Vic would surely have been given by her parents.  I cannot see a burial for her at any of the online cemeteries in the area of Clifton Hill.  Do you know where the funeral plaque was placed.  Some of the possible cemeteries in the area could be Heidelberg Cemetery, Northcote Cemetery or Melbourne General none of which have their burial records online.

Mary where did you find a death for Michael in Victoria in 1954...he died in WA so there is an error with the information.  On the death index there is only one death for a Michael in 1954 and obviously not your man.

FITZGERALD Michael
Father Thomas  Mother Unknown  AHERN
At Fitzroy  79 years  1954  Reg#4847

Hi Cando

I never put the info on Ancestry about Michael's death .  As soon as I saw it I knew it was wrong as after the Fitzgerald moved to W.A. they remained her and resided in victoria Park where we used to visit them so I don't know where that info came from.

Cheers

Hi Cando,
I am not sure where she is buried she worked at Northcote and lived in Clifton Hills but she also had family members at Daylesford.
The death details for Michael Fitzgerald came from a grandson of Michael Fitzgerald's who has an online tree, so thought his information would have been correct, but obviously not so.  ::)
