Hi all
I am looking for Millbridge Broadford Skye not sure if its a Cottage or just a name of a house on my G-granmother death cert gives aaddress as Millbridge Broadford was hoping someone will know where abouts this is and is it still there.

The answer is yes (probably).

The problem is describing where it is as many landmarks shown on Google maps are in the wrong place. Attached is a picture, courtesy Google maps. The house on the right is Bridge House and on the left Mill Bridge Cottage, with corrugated iron roof and not lived in now.

The picture at the top of the page shows the Serpentarium which is housed in the old watermill. At the far end of the building was the water wheel and you can see a small footbridge which crosses the Allt a Mhuillin (Mill Stream), Immediately behind the old mill is the Mill Bridge which carries the old main road (single track) to Portee. Bridge House can be seen but Mill Bridge Cottage is obscured.

Thank you so much the photo is great you seem to know a lot about Broadford  Skye I see on the google map photo there is a sign Black park my great grandmother Helen Grant lived there when she was young
