MOORE, Charles Henry b: Shetland Islands

A good friend has sent me a Charles Henry MOORE who born in Shetland Islands and was buried in Wanganui, New Zealand.
Married Rosina Rebecca SCHWASS b: 1871 in Nelson NZ.
Will give you their children's christian names in case they may help learn more about Charles.
Lynda Marjory; Lilly Jane; Alice Vera; Francis Henry; Robert; Sophia; Gladys Jessie.

If anyone can find MOORES in Shetland Islands or above Charles Henry, they would be an excellent breakthru'.

Hi Tiffaney,
Doesnt his NZ Marriage or Death Certs have his Parents names?
What is his approximate date of Birth?
Did he die age 82 in 1945? (so born c 1863)

There are a lot of Moores born Shetland on Census entries but Charles is hard to pin down without more info.

You have answered an important question which I thank you for that there were Moore families in the Shetland Islands.  If I find dates you asked for will post them.

I am Researching Charles Henry MOORE too :-)  On his marriage & Death Cert he states his parents are William Henry MOORE & Alice Mary MCKENZIE.  Says he is born in Irwen Scotland. I also have some of his childrens birth certs which state he is born in Troon, Irvine, and co Lanark Scotland, So info is not consistant!
