I take it you are looking for the Hilton/Head marrige? (It's just that you've posted this in the Lookup offers instead of lookup requests  :))

London is a big place. At the least, do you know what area of London the family lived in?

I found this baptism:
Parish of St James, Holloway
June 26 1870
George Frederick Hilton
father: George
mother: Elizabeth
abode: 1 Old Wellington St
father is a Labourer

Do you have the family in any censuses and if so can you give reference details so we can have a look?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply and sorry about my mistake.
Yes I am looking for the Head/ Hilton marriage but haven't had any luck.
Eliza is on the1861 census aged abt 11yrs. She was born Kentish Town and lived in St Pancras. She is also on the 1871 census aged abt 20 yrs, She was a servant and lived 13 Pawes Street. Her second marriage was  to George Bright and she is a widow and he a widower, she was aged 30 and he 47. Perhaps she didn't actually marry the first time!

Hi bozzwell

I don't think you have the correct 1871 census, the one you mention is the wrong place of birth, is completely out of the area for the other censuses and she's with 2 others with the same surname who don't fit anywhere.

Having said that, I'm sure she is in service somewhere, but most probably not that far away from home.

The family didn't move far at all from 1851-1891.

Eliza's parents - Henry Head married Ann Anterton 18th August 1851 at St Pancras.

Hi Dawn,
Thank you for the info. I've looked again at the 1871 census and can't find Eliza Head. My friend (who I'm trying to help with her tree) tells me that Eliza was indeed a servant and rumour has it that she fell pregnant by a family member but they did in fact marry!!! Her son Frederick George Hilton was the son of that relationship. I am stuck now and don't know where to look next.
Thank you for giving the name of Henry Heads' wife, and their marriage.
Regarding the year of birth of Frederick George Hilton, my friend got that info from another ancestry member.
Thanks for your help.
