Hi Does anybody have a list of passenger of people leaving Nelson New Zealand in 1856.

I`m looking for a Sarah Stephen she left Nelson after her husband died in 1855 so it would 1856 when she left she would probably be about 44 years old.
I can find quite a few list but all seem to be going to Nelson not departing.

Is the surname of this lady STEPHENS (rather than STEPHEN - as per your previous enquiry concerning Samuel STEPHENS.  ??

Unfortunately there is little available information for those departing, other than - as already mentioned - lists you might find published in old NZ newspapers, and these certainly would cover only a small portion of departures.
[And it appears that records for passengers entering UK, are only available from c. 1878.   Do check though, I may be wrong on that score.]

Have found nothing specific for a "Sarah STEPHENS" as yet.
