Needle in haystack! Jones family: Ellis Jones of Whatcroft maried Mary ? from Stryt Yr Hwch. Hoard of children born in Marchwiel between 1843 and 1868 - Ellis, Joseph, James, John, William, Thomas, Randle, Mary & Edwin. Randle, who married Fanny Greening, is my wife's gt. grandfather. Their children were all born in the Gresford & Marchwiel areas. Any information please.

It's not clear exactly what info you are asking for and what you already have in the way of census info etc? 

Have you checked freebmd for a marriage between Ellis and Mary?

If none found - or more than one found - have you looked on freebmd for the birth registrations of any of the children?

A copy of one of their birth certs will give mothers maiden name and make looking for a marriage much easier

It looks very much as if Ellis Jones married a Mary Bradshaw at Bangor-On-Dee St Dunawd's in 1843.It could well be that the Jemima Bradshaw given as a Servant with the family in 1851 is a relative of Mary's.

Hi, no marriage of Ellis & Mary on freebmd that I have found; I expect you've seen my comments on Jones tracing in the Cheshire forum?

The GRO equivalent for the Ellis Jones/Mary Bradshaw marriage is Oct/Nov/Dec quarter in 1843 in the Wrexham District of Denbighshire,Volume 27,Page 381.

That 1843 marriage shows on the IGI pilot site - fathers were (also) Ellis Jones and Joseph Bradshaw
