Do you have any other information such as place and date of births and  marriage. Parent's names may also be helpful. Also do you know which province as there isn't a central registry for BMD's in Canada, each province has there own vital statistics registry. Also where was your grandmother born.

The Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid shows in Mount Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Trenton
Murray township, Northumberland County
Michael Emmett O'Malley and wife Margaret MacAuley

If you have access to ancestry there are a few trees on there showing your grandmother - Marie (1929-2006) and her sister Patricia (1933-1970).
Father Michael Emmet O'Malley  s/o  Michael Charles O'Malley and Mary Ellen Bassett
b. May 4, 1905 Victoria County d. Trenton (some trees have chosen Trenton NJ as place of death)
Margaret MacAuley d/o unknown
Their marriage isn't on ancestry - probably took place closer to the birth of your grandmother and therefore isn't publically available.

You can search the 1881 and 1891 through this site.

Thomas Bassett b. 1853 Australia is living in Eldon Victoria with wife Ellen and daughter Ellen M. (Mary Ellen).  This is based on the information from the family tree as to parentage of Mary Ellen Bassett.  Thomas Bassett ,from marriage records of siblings in Victoria county, was the son of Samuel Bassett and Mary Mallory/Maley

There is a birth in the Ontario database for Michael E. O'Malley who was born 4 May 1905 in Eldon, Victoria County, Ontario to Michael C. O'Malley and Mary E. Bassett.

I found this marriage at the Ontario Vital Statistics Project website (http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~onvsr/) in the Northumberland & Durham marriages:

16863-27 Ernest O'MALLEY, 22, clerk, Victoria Road, Frankford, s/o Michael O'MALLEY & Ann BASSETT, married Margaret MCAULEY, 19, Murray, same, d/o John MCAULEY & Catherine AMBROSE, witn: Ambrose MCAULEY of Trenton & Catharine O'MALLEY of Frankford, 8 Aug 1927 at Wooler (RC)

This is a transcript so it's possible that Michael's name was mistranscribed and the original says Emmet.

There is a birth in the Ontario births database for Mary Margaret McCauley who was born 3 Apr 1909 to John B. McCauley and Catherine Ambrose in Murray Twp, Northumberland County. John listed his address as Trenton.

If that's the correct marriage then here is the McCauley family on the 1911 census in Murray Twp (their surname was transcribed as McCailey):

http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/SplitView.jsp?id=138573

A marriage for John McCauley and Catherine Ambrose:

John McCauley, 34, born Murray Twp, son of Bernard McCauley and Margaret Long married Catherine Ambrose, 28, born Murray Twp, daughter of Michael Ambrose and Sara Ann Hart on 4 Jul 1904 in Northumberland County, Ontario.

Here is John with his parents on the 1901 census:

http://automatedgenealogy.com/census/ViewFrame.jsp?id=96360&highlight=37

Here is Catherine Ambrose with her mother and siblings in 1901 (she's listed as Kathaleen):
http://automatedgenealogy.com/census/ViewFrame.jsp?id=96355&highlight=17

Do you have access to Ancestry.ca?

Hi
I would be your mom's first cousin once removed as they say...I am assuming your mom was Pamela Ryan. Your great grandparents stood up for my parents ..Robert and Ruth McCauley.  I am nearing retirement now and I have been playing with the ancestry work as well...if Pammy is your mom...then we went to school as children together when your grandmother, Marie (first cousin) moved to Trenton in the late 1960's.  I have a few photos of your great grandparents on my parents' wedding day in October 1940. Your request has given me a few more places to look as well...if we ever had a Macaulay/McCauley family reunion from the ancestors of John Bernard Macaulay (spelling of the name changed for some of the children...in the 1900's)...it would be huge..you have cousins in Ottawa...the children of James McCauley...he was the son of Ambrose McCauley...say hi to this part of the clan... :) I will post the photos of your great grandparents upon your reply..:)
