Henblas, Abergele
« on: Thursday 27 January 11 20:42 GMT (UK) »
My mam has just gone through some old issues of 'Hel Achau', dating back to 2003 and she came across an article that might be regarding my ancestors. Isaac Williams, I have found on Census he lived at Sun Farm, Morfa, Rhuddlan. The article also mentiones he farmed at Henblas and Ty Gwyn, Rhuallt. Can anyone give me a hint as to where Henblas is? I have no idea whether the farm was called Henblas or it was situated in Henblas. There is an address for '     ' Henblas, Abergele (name of house omitted) The person I am interested in still lived at Sun Morfa on the 1911 census, so it's obviously the later years he farmed elswhere.
Kind regards

If you Google Henblas Abergele you will find links to a map showing where it is. There is a holiday cottage to let.

Henblas farm until very recently was farmed by Ifor (Ivor) Williams and previous to that was farmed by his Father. Can't think of his name at present. The Williams' reside at a Bungalow just by the farm entrance. Llys Awel. To get to Henblas take the first left after leaving Abergele and keep to the right past the Golf Club and it is quite a way up the hill as long as you continue to the right - narrow road. Hope this helps.

Thank you for that information. I'm wondering if those Williams relate to my Williams  :) I'll take a look next time I'm home.
Best wishes

David Williams is the name you are after, the father of Ivor Williams. I believe there was an Issac Williams, but am not sure of the relationship. PM me for more info.
