Can anyone identify the Street name on this Birth Cert from 1891???  Looks like ???ily Place.  Thanks, Kevin

The sub-district is unclear (last image above) but looks like 'North Dublin ...... / No. 1 East'

There is an Emily place listed in the district. I'll see if I can find out where it was located..

Emily place no longer exists but was off Lower Sheriff St to the south, about where the Spencer Dock development is now.

The street is shown in the c1890 OSI map - see Emily place 

 (select the historic 25" option to see the correct map)

I think Emily Place is the best fit, as it's the only street that I can find in Dublin North No. 1 East ending in ..ily  The second letter does look like an m. It's the first letter that's the problem , but it could be a very bad E.

Any chance you could post an extract of the street name scanned at a slightly higher resolution - just to see if there's a little more detail in there ?
