COMPLETED- Lookup wanted at Keighly Public Library please.
« on: Wednesday 26 January 11 23:22 GMT (UK) »
Hi.

Is anybody going to Keighly Public Library, and able to do a lookup for me please? I noticed a microfilm reel on LDS website entitled 'Survey and Evaluation of property for Denholme and Thornton 1800' and it noted that the original is kept at Keighly  public library.

The property I am interested in for Denholme is 'Denholme House', and any references to the surname ATKINSON please.

Katharine.

Hi Kath

If you get no responce? (Hopefully you will) you can arrange to see the above documents at any LDS family library and order this LDS film. It should be the same as the info as the original doc and a nominal reasonable charge to hire for 3 month usage at your will. In someways you maybe better off as  seeing something other people don't ? knowing your own wants or to look for.

Dave  :)
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Brenda. Thankyou for your offer to do a lookup for me. As I said the property I am interested in is 'Denholme House' situated behind the present St.Pauls (although the church was not there in 1800 of course). In the 1841 census and 1851 census, my ATKINSONs were living there.
I am therefore curious to know about the residents of the house in 1800.
If you see any other ATKINSONs on the film I would be very interested to know.
Many thanks, Katharine.

Katharine have you ever had a look at the Wharfedale & Craven Genealogical Study website?
http://wharfegen.org.uk/
Free to register, found 3000+ Atkinson named people Keighley/Ilkley/Otley etc :o
Records going back to 1600 for Atkinson named people, might even find a few relatives.

Have a look at www.keighleyhistory.co.uk
and then click on Forum.  There are some real good folk on there who will be happy to help. Their knowledge and resources continue to amaze me. Good luck. Cheers.
