For Eileen Donan:
I may be grasping at straws, but I have too little info to do anything else.  My g-grandmother was Annie Callahan, born in Donegal, in 1868 to James Callahan and Mary Doherty.  James died in 1873. Mary, we think, must have died by 1883 as that is when Annie and her sister Hannah came to Pittsburgh to live with Ann and Catharine Gibbons.  Annie said my father reminded her of her uncle Hugh.  Annie's other 2 sisters stayed in Donegal-- Bridget married Bernard Connaghan, giving her townland as Tirargus; Mary married John Callaghan, also giving her townland as Tirargus, and settling in Letterkenny.  Does your Hugh have a sister Mary, do you know?  I don't know how the Gibbonses are connected.  Annie called them aunts, but whether on the Doherty or Callahan side, I don't know.
Main focus: Callahan, Doherty, Gibbons, all probably Donegal
Also McHugh, O'Leary, Perry, Kenney, Roche, Schubert, McCarthy, Carroll
