I'd like to have sight of a few of your photos if it's not too much of an inconvenience please.

I have an unsolved puzzle in that my g.grandmother (m.s. Jane Mckenzie) died in Hamilton and was found by a stranger in the street.  I assume she must have been visiting family.  There's a dearth of b.m. records for her generation and I'm having to find clues in old newspapers, headstones and wills, etc.

I see that there's a female
Mckenzie in your list.

Also Jane's mother was a
Cameron and the Cameron in your list could have been a relative.

Brownlie is connected to Jane by marriage

I'm also looking for a
David Marshall who was a business partner of her father in law and also a witness at a baptism in 1817.

Thanks in anticipation
Rena

Hi Sancti, Yes that is my family. Francis Jr. and Hugh came to Canada and I am descended from Francis. I have come to a dead end in tracing Francis Sr. further. His death certificate lists his father as Francis and his mother as Margaret Burns. It also says he was born in Ayr... any help as to where to look next would be much appreciated!  Ellen
