Hi Sancti

I would appreciate any details of the graves of McGHIE and KING in the graveyard. You could send them directly to my email (*) if that would be easier

Regards & Many Thanks

Leith

Hi Lodger -- Realize this post is old, but wondering if any FRAMEs appear in the building subscription list from 1776 for Muir Street Relief Church.  I actually have a photo of my ancestor's grave in the Hamilton churchyard and have the Frames in the Muir Street baptisms (1776-1800) and lair owners, but wasn't aware of the subscription list.  Also, do you know if there are baptismal records after 1800?  Any marriage records?  Thanks so much. -- John Frame

Hi John,

I can't open the file, it's an old version that wont run on this pc. I have sent it to a pal who may be able to help. I did find some of the original notes I made and there are 5 Frames mentioned.

ROBERT FRAM, mason in Fernigair. 5 shillings.
JOHN FRAME, mason, Merryton. 5 shillings.
JOHN FRAM senior, Merryton. 5 shillings.
JOHN FRAM junior, (tennant or tanner) Merryton. 10 shillings.
ROBERT FRAM in Merryton. 5 shillings.

It may well be that the 2 Roberts are the same person. as you can see, the names are all from the Larkhall road end of the parish. If I find any more I will let you know. The subscriptions would have been collected about 1775 - 76.
Paterson, Torrance, Gilchrist - Hamilton Lanarkshire.
McCallum - Oban, McKechnie - Ross of Mull Argyll.
Scrim - Perthshire.
Liddell - Polmont,
Binnie - Muiravonside Stirlingshire.
Curran, McCafferty, Stevenson, McCue - Co Donegal
Gibbons, Weldon - Co Mayo.
Devlin - Co Tyrone.
Leonard - County Donegal & Glasgow.

Hi John, there was a small mistake in the information I gave you about the Frames.

"John Frame mason in Merryton" should be James Frame mason in Merryton, sorry.
