Scarrs of Todmorden

Hi all,
Richard SCARR was born in Todmorden Jun qtr. 1851 and died Mar qtr 1892 in Chorlton Manchester aged 40 (8c :524). The only early census on which I could find him was that of 1871 (RG10/ 4137/ 150/ 19) where he is shown aged 19 as 'Eldest son' - along with his siblings Sarah, Edwin, Charles and Susannah ( a daughter ? of whom) indicating, presumably, that both of their  parents had died.
I have checked possibly connected SCARR deaths in Todmorden and found only - William died aged 55, Mar qtr 1867 and Frank in Mar qtr 1864( no age given) but am no further advanced in making any connection.
Does  anyone have access to the Parish Registers who might be able to  advise me as to who his parents were?
Any help would be greatly appreciated to help me make the connections to the SCARR''s of Askrigg, Yorkshire, whom I believe to be the ancestors of this family.

Richard Scarr, his son Edwin and Edwin's wife Josephine are all buried in Phillips park cemetery. Church of England section. Grave number L1216.
Richard's name miss transcribed as "Searn" and should be Scarr.
He was buried on 13th Feb 1892 and was living at the address i posted above.
Edwin died age 56 and buried 8th June 1912 and was living at 90 Adrian street Moston
Edwin married Josephine Helmn 16th May 1891 at ST. Ann's church Newton.

Josephine Scarr nee Helmn buried age 72 and was still living at the Adrian street address at the time of her death.
Also in that grave is Sarah Brown died age 79 on 13th Dec 1931
