Uniform identification ?WW1
« on: Monday 24 January 11 09:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi, have come across this photo in a batch I inherited, am trying to identify the uniform, I think it may be WW1 army or police from that time but that is as far as I have got.

Any help gratefully received

Thanks

Alison

Mmm I reckon City of London Police.
The Metropolitan Police have a museum - google it - and they will tell straight away
Robinson - Oxfordshire
Stratford - Gloucestershire,
Waters - Northamptonshire,
Moss - Oxfordshire,
Bint - Berkshire,
Collins / Collings - Buckinghamshire,
Salmon - Warwickshire and Northamptonshire
Stranks - Northamptonshire,
Bull - Oxfordshire /Buckinghamshire,
