Hi

I think that this is his death ~

6 June 1871, New Lanark

Daniel McPherson, Cotton Weaver. Aged 71. Married to Jane Watson.

His son Daniel was the informant

His father is given as John McPherson, a shoemaker but I do think it's the same Daniel as the wife's name is correct. His son might not have known his grandfather and mixed up the names. It happens quite frequently. No mother's name was given.

At the moment, I can't see where his elder children were born, except Lanarkshire. Marion is on the 1861 as b. New Lanark. There doesn't appear to be any baptisms for them in New Lanark

Hi Again

There is  at least one tree on Ancestry which has him marrying Mathilda Maule, Canongate, Edinburgh in 1825.  The LDS site has this as 10 October 1825 and Mathilda's surname as Mawle
