Hello and Welcome to Rootschat  :)

I assume that you have the following baptisms of their children from the IGI but will give them so that it might help others - no baptisms in Little Dunkeld so Joseph must have moved from their at some stage

3 Aug 1795 Auchtergaven - Euphon
19 Sept 1798 Auchtergaven - Isobell
6 April 1800 Auchtergaven - Daniel (Nether Blelock)
4 July 1802 Auchtergaven - Helen
12 Aug 1804 Auchtergaven - John
2 June 1806 Scone - William
28 Aug 1808 Scone - Elisabeth
17 Mar 1811 Findo-Gask - Janet (born 27 Feb 1811)
8 July 1813 Perth - Jean
14 Jan 1816 Perth -  Neil

I checked up on where they were living at Daniel's baptism and it has them at Nether Blelock. This is just south of Bankfoot. Map here:

When Jospeh was baptised in 1764, his parents were living at Claypots, Little Dunkeld. I've not yet found it on the maps but will keep looking  :)

PS - these map searches are making me shudder - I'm re-living difficult journeys on the A9  ;D

Moving forward again to Joseph and Jean's son, Neil, who was baptised on Wednesday 3rd January 1816 at the Middle Church, Perth by the Rev James Esdaile (?), minister of the East Church.

At this time, Joseph is down as a shoemaker which might explain their movements  :)

Hi everybody who helped, fantastic, will have to take it all in tonight, how do you guys do it. The wife has me doing her family tree and it's going to take some time to get the hang of things, so your help is great, thankyou, my next target is one of josephs sons ( Daniel Macpherson ) who was born in 1800 and moved to lanark and i think married a Mattilda Maule around 1820s, they had a daughter jean in 1827, a son Daniel in 1829 and another daughter Marion in 1834 but i don't know where they were born, he got married again in 1843 and had  other kids which we know about at New Lanark. Any more help from you experts would be great. Your keeping an old 60 year old happy.
Regards
Harry from Lanark

thanks JL. Don't know when Daniel died but it was some time between the 1861 cencus when he was 60 living at new lanark, and 1881 when his wife Jane is recorded as being a widow on the cencus of 1881
Thanks Again
Harry
