1851 census Sheerness HARRIS
« on: Saturday 16 April 05 18:28 BST (UK) »
Is there someone prepared to look for Charlotte HARRIS 32 with 1/2 year old son Sampson in Sheerness?  Father's name was also Sampson but he was in the navy and may be at sea.  I have no place of birth for Charlotte and she had died in 1854 and this seems to be my only hope of finding her birth place. They lived in Chapel Street Mile Town in 1853.
Thankyou

Hi Homead

There is an index to the 1851 Sheerness census on Colin Penney's Sheppey pages where he has listed head of household or a change of name within that household:

Best wishes

Still looking for Sampson Harris in 1851.  I have gone through Sheerness house by house, no sign!

Cant find Sampson in 1851,
There is a Sampson E Harris. age 11. Born Woolwich . listed at the Hospital School ,Greenwich on the 1861. As his father was in the Navy this is probably him. :)

Thankyou for looking, I had found him a long time ago now.  I cannot find his father Sampson, or mother Charlotte Augusta in 1851 however.  Children born in Sheerness in 1851 after the census but no sign of them.
