Just to say a big 'thank you' to all who have replied to my request and especially to Anne who was kind enough to look up the marriage for me, and thank you also for the additional information.

To Suzard: The quarters for marriages (unlike births and deaths) are precise - a marriage for the December quarter will take place between 1st October - and no earlier  - and 31st December - and no later. I did a study of this in registers in London and there were no exceptions to this.

 If you do find evidence that I am wrong about this then please let me know!

Hi John,

I think you will find that it is when the marriages were registered -or the registrations  were entered -not always the period when a BMD took place.

I have two marriage certs reg Mar qtr -but they took place late Dec the year before.

A marriage which took place at the end of a quarter can quite possibly be registered in the next quarter.

I think it is probably looking into whether "Lymix" is a mistranscription of "Lomax"
I haven't found any other "Lymix" in the census in the same area???
