I couldn't see Benjamin's burial in the Long Melford registers but on the Suffolk Burial Index there is an entry for a Benjamin Mitchell being buried at Alpheton (about 4-5 miles from Long Melford) on 16th January 1857 aged 46.
and the hamlet of Bridge Street is between Long Melford and Alpheton.
