Pentlow Parish Registers.

Hi,

Does anybody have access to the Pentlow PRs? I am trying to find a Roger Green baptised around 1730C. Can anyone help please?

hi sue, pentlow seems to come up as sudbury,essex and the pilot site has this one:

Roger Green bap 4 june 1726 Edwardstone, suffolk s/o Joseph & Anne

Edwardstone is close to sudbury so a possible. however the record also says death 20 Jan 1726 which means he died before he was born!! could mean bap is jan or death is june??

Here he is.....16th Sept 1831 Roger son of John and Mary Green born 18th Aug.

The parish records for pentlow are all on-line, which is good for you!

Diddy, you are correct, Pentlow is close to Sudbury but on the wrong side of the river Stour - therefore in the county of Essex.

As well as the Foxearth site (which is great!) the Pentlow Parish records for 1539 - 1732 are available online - in the original - at SEAX, Essex records office.  This link should access the  records.

Are you related to the Turps of Pentlow?, I have seen Turp gravestones in the churchyard.
