I believe there may have been a Burwash registar. I would like information in regards to Mary Burwash married William Curteis 28 March 1703. I have 5 siblings to this marriage but no information in regards to parents. Please assist if possible.

Why not post the information of the children to see if that might help us in tracing the parents and their possible marriage .

Unusual to have the same surname as the place the came from  :-\

Hi there
I am wondering if you know which town or country we are talking about in the marriage.  Is it correct that Burwash is the name of Mary and also where she lived?  If so, was Burwash in Sussex or somewhere else?
Thanks

Hi there
It helped knowing where they lived thanks

I think I found Marys birth
Mary Burwash christened 13th April 1686 at Sutton Vallance just down the road from Tenterden
parents are Richard and Elizabeth

William Curteis c  3rd February 1678 at Morden Surrey
parents Norton and Mary

These could be the names of some of William CURTEIS siblings

Martha, Francis, Edward
Hope this helps a little
regards
Sandymc

Firstly thankyou to Sandyme47 for your assistance. New to all this so appoligise for the lack of information.
Secondly Patrish.
I stumbled on  a look up and noticed someone was assisting with the name Burwash but could not find my way back to this group.
They were offering assistance to any one who had an interest Burwash.
If you can find this link please let me know. My main interest is Curteis. I have tried under Surnames but no luck.

If you click on the search button near the top of the page you can enter BURWASH in the box and search for all entries for BURWASH on Rootschat.  There are plenty of entries but they seem to relate to people from Burwash or the Burwash Registers but these are the parish registers and this is where the confusion may have arisen.  I can't see anything for the surname BURWASH.
