Would your step-grandfather be the George Albert Soper b.6 May 1905 Camberwell to George Henry Soper & Elizabeth nee.Owen; married Farnham, Surrey 1894; GHS was in Royal Artillery & a Sergt 24th London Reg. I've a page on his military record.

I'm not a relative, but I'd like to confirm the link
