Quelch Family - Weedon (Bec)???

Hi to all hardworking Chatters,

After finally caving in and obtaining a death cert for one of my brick walls (coz I'm cheap  ) I now know that my gggf William Quelch was born in Northampton(shire).  A check of FreeBMD finds a William Quelch registered in the Daventry District in the Qtr Dec 1845.  The year at least corresponds to his death cert age of 50 in June 1895 in NZ.

A search of various things (like FamilySearch and some quantum leaping along the way - bad, I know) seems to track him to a town called Weedon Bec.  His parents (on his death cert) were William Quelch and Harriett Miller and there is a record of a couple of this name who married on 18 Feb 1828 in Weedon Bec.  Well, at least I knew his parents names and they were about the only combo I could find on FamilySearch.

Long story short, I would like to start sticking his family together.  Would someone be able to please delve into the census records and tell me who his family was at the time of the 1851 census at least?  And where they were born?

Man, you're quick!  I like that in a Chatter  .

I was just starting to tie myself in a knot.  Caught a baptism record for Elizabeth and Mary that couldn't make up it's mind whether they lived in Northants or Bucks!  How weird.  From your post I've been able to find the kids you listed (which is way cool) but there seems to be a birth for a Rebecca Quelch in 1835 to the parents but she's not in the census.  Did she exist in 1841?  Or do I have an incorrect child?

Oh you are just so awesome!  I really appreciate your time.

I had a look through the internet and there have been mentions on other forums of Quelch people living in Cheneys, Bucks and in Buckingham, Bucks.  Goodness knows if they are related or not but it could be another place to look in the 1841.

Ive looked at all Quelch and variants but your family arent showing in any county.Cant get a result for Weedon Beck in 41 either.Wish I had the discs .Ive got 51,61 discs but not 41 so cant do a manual search .Maybe someone else will be able to help with 41.

They are impossible to find in 1841 and not having much luck 1861 either.
But some good news!

QUELCH, all Christened/Baptised St Peter and St Paul,Weedon Bec, Northants to WILLIAM/HARRIET, Father a Shoemaker;
REBECCA, 19 April 1835 (she is a Servant in Warwickshire in 1851.Marries William DODD 1855)
ELIZABETH, 09 December 1838
JAMES, 06 November 1842

These may fit in your Tree later all in Weedon;

THOMAS Quelch, 11 June 1836, Age 81
ELIZABETH Quelch, 08 July 1838, Age 55
(John/Eliz may have been Married as there is a Mary to them 1815 and John is a Shoemaker. Possibly the Parents of William?)
JOHN Quelch, 25 February 1848, Age 68

Probably James born c 1842 and Mary c 1841 from 1851 census.

Names and POB seem to fit but was Mary born c 1825 a child of Harriets before she Married?
