Hi,

I think you have your dates mixed up? born 11/2/1772 died 10/10/1825

If you have an actual date of death?
Where abouts in Lancashire was he last known to be?

I can see a death on free bmds in Liverpool 1872, is that him?

If so, this is him on the census for 1871?

Key court, Liverpool, St Pauls Ward

JAMESON, Andrew, 45, b. 1826 Scotland
Margaret, Wife, 43, b. 1828 Wales
William J,    Son, 21 b. 1850 Northumberland
Dennis J, Son, 14, b. 1857    Lancashire
Magnus, Son, 11, b. 1860 Lancashire
Andrew, Son, 7, b. 1864 Lancashire

Just in case it helps others to look

Hasn't most of this background work been done?
http://liverpool-genealogy.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10480

Most burials from the Liverpool Workhouse took place in the Parochial cemetery Rice Lane Walton, probably in a communal grave, especially since he was unemployed and there may not have been much money for a private grave also that was the common practice of workhouse burials at that time.

The telephone number for the Central Library is 0151 2335817

If the information is in document form rather than on microfilm they may advise you to contact

Mr Roger Hull
Liverpool Library Satellite Service Unit 33
Wellington Employment Park South
Dunes Way
Liverpool L5 9RJ

There may be a charge for his look up.

In case anybody thinks mettle has not replied, I have received this in a pm

Quote
Thank you for your information on Andrew Jamison, will pass it on.  As I have the 2nd edition of the burial record's, I was asked if I would look up the burial date for Andrew Jamison, but that part of Lancashire is not on, I thought that if someone had the third edition, they may look  the burial  date up.
mettle.

If anybody has this programme perhaps they will look it up for you.

I believe an offer was previously made and accepted, to check the burial records, and this task was undertaken, perhaps that information will no longer be required.
