Isle of Man ancestors
« on: Saturday 15 January 11 21:48 GMT (UK) »
My GGrandfather Thomas George Brodie was born in 1857 somewhere on the Isle of Man His father's name was William Brodie and his mother's maiden name was Agnes Easter or Eastor
Oliver. Thomas was a butler in Glasgow when he married Euphemia George Brown from Athelstaneford. Thomas arrived in Liverpool during the 1880s and settled as a licensed victualler in St James Street  where I located him and his family on the 1891 census. However he disappeared from the radar after this.  According to information on Thomas and Euphemia's marriage certificate both his parents were deceased. His father William had been a Land Steward. I wonder if there is anyone out there who could tell me how to find out where William had worked if he had worked in Scotland or the Isle of Man and if there are any living relatives. Heres hoping.
