Sorry Barry, I am not finding Edward after 1920 until the WW2 Draft in 1942.  Wonder if he went to British Columbia  - we have a couple of references to there ???  Unless he is mistranscribed ??
Will have another go tomorrow if noone finds him in the meantime.

Regards
Sandra

It looks as though Minnie Kendall married Harry Herbert Foster in Vancouver, BC in 1910.
Hope this link works...

I can look up the marriage registration if you're interested in a transcription.

So this would be the contact Mrs. H.H. Foster on the WW2 draft card who would always know his whereabouts.

Minnie Best Foster, w/o Harry Herbert Foster and d/o Richard Kendall and Edna Best, died in Victoria, BC on June 7, 1951.  Harry predeceased her.

Harry Foster, age 30, was one of the roomers with the family on the 1910 Census.

I can do a look-up of this death registration also if you're interested.  It may be a couple of weeks though.

Harry Herbert Foster served in the CEF during WW1.  You can view his attestation papers (2 pages) at this site.

so it looks like John Edward marries sometime between 1920 and his daughter must marry a whelen in British Columbia.

so somewhere in BC or Seattle there will be rellies.

Next is to get death cert of Richard Kendall whom the wife found last night dying in Lincolnshire, a long way from home.

In the US Naturalization records of the Superior Court, King County, Washington, there is a Declaration of Intention that Harry Herbert Foster signed on January 17, 1910.  He says he is a carpenter, born on August 20, 1879 in Little Boakum, England.  At the time of this document, he is residing at 303 - 1st W., Seattle.  He says he arrived at the Port of Seattle aboard the Tinequois (?) on or about January 28, 1909.  His last foreign residence was Vancouver, BC.
