Hi, my wife is dead keen on finding out more of her Jewish roots on her nans side. She was Vera brown married to Robert brown, lived in tottenham and run a successful cafe.. Hope someone can help..

this is probably her then - mother maiden surname of Dormer is shown in the index after 1911

Marrying in 1916 will mean they can be found in the 1901 census - hopefully ...

There seems to be only 3 Albert Coltman in the 1901 census - of an eligible age and marital status!

You may have to get the 1916 marriage Cert to confirm Albert's Father's name and occupation.

There's multiple Edith (M) Dormers in the London area in 1901, but this one caught my eye in Hackney: her Father is an Edward T or J Dormer, in the China & Glass Trade....

That's fantastic thanks my wife and her mum was over the moon, they're trying to trace there Jewish roots to see where the originate from so this is great start..
  Don't suppose you have anything on buckleys do you. I need to find out for medical reasons. His name is Frederick Buckley born in rochford 6th April 1936. I have his marriage certain but it came with no parents at all so don't really know where to go buts important I find out. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Many thanks again
