KIBBLE BIBLE COMPLETED BIBLE CLAIMED
« on: Wednesday 12 January 11 18:40 GMT (UK) »
Hi,,,,i have been researching a family bible on behalf of a friend. She has said that if anyone descended from the family wants it,,they are welcome.

the bible relates to the Kibble Family...originally from Scotland.

Sarah Kibble b c1805 Scotland
James William Kibble b 1841 Scotland
Hervey kibble b 1843 Scotland

they can be seen in the 1851 census living in the Isle of Man.
I have traced the family forwards,,but cant find many descendants.
Just wanted to get the Kibble name out there on the internet,,,maybe one day someone will see it.
If anyone wants to trace the family forward and post the details,,,all well and good,,,but dont go out of your way,,as i said,,i have done some research,,,but just cant get anywhere near the present  ;)

I have seen your post and they are definitely our family!

Sarah Kibble is buried in the churchyard of St. John's in Buglawton, Congleton, Cheshire next to my Great Great Aunt whose married name was Violet Milroy Besant [wife of the Rector] and her maiden name was Hervey.

Hervey Kibble is the son of Sarah Kibble and is also buried with his mother at Buglawton.

We have done a huge amount of research on this line of our family and we have some wonderful photographs which go back to very early images indeed.

The Hervey family were originally HERVIE and came from Scotland.  They settled south of the border in Manchester in the very early 1800's - all well documented.

Kibble is the maiden name of my Great Great Great Great Grandmother, ISABELLA KIBBLE.

I hope that I have given you enough information to reassure you that I am 100% genuine - we believe that there are no other descendants who could possibly claim this wonderful family bible and I hope that you will reply soon on behalf of your friend.

I live in Staffordshire; most of the Hervey ancestors from the time of the bible are buried in Cheshire and Lancashire.

PLEASE CONTACT ME - I do hope that you still have the Bible?

Kind regards,
Nicola
