I have lost a family in 1911 - Woodhouse.

I am currently researching my ancestors and have come to a brick wall in the 1911 census records for the Woodhouse family,  if anyone has any knowledge if they may have moved from bedfordshire to possibly Scotland or Wales, or anywhere else, would love to hear from you.   Or if you are a descendant of the family and have any information, would love to hear from you as well.

Going by the childrens birth dates, there were some prior to 1911 and some after born in the Luton area, but they are definitely not on any 1911 census records in England.


Frederick Charles Woodhouse 1883 Hackford, Norfolk KIA 1917 Egypt.
Margaret (Maggie) Woodhouse (nee Pieraccini) 1883 Luton, Bedfordshire - 1952 Rugby, Warwickshire.

Married 1904 Luton, Bedfordshire.

I believe Frederick was a Horse Trainer.

Maggie or Margaret ?  no information.

Robert S N 1914 Luton

Reginald C C 1919 - 1975  Rugby. (Not sure this would be Fredericks son, as he was KIA 14 months prior to his birth)

The Commonwealth War Graves site's record for Frederick Charles Woodhouse died 5/11/1917 says he was husband of Maggie Woodouse, of 30, Queen St., Rugby.

Had a look at 1911 Irish census for you (it's online and free) but they aren't living in Ireland-

The occupier of 30 Queen St Rugby in 1911 was an Emma Leeson, a widow aged 72 from Atherstone.  I wonder if she was related in some way, or if Maggie took over the house when Emma died ?

Thank you everyone for the extra information.

I have looked over the 1911 census as best I could, every which way and spellings, through just first initial, through birth year, through Luton, Rugby, Norfolk,... but nothing.  They have disappeared.  My only thought was they where staying with someone at the time and were never filled in on the census or they had possbily gone to Scotland or Wales.

Going by records I assume they moved to Rugby in 1914/1915 So they might possibly of taken over the property then. Not sure.  They are lost to me between 1907 and 1912. 
I also can't find information regarding the birth of their daughter Maggie/Margaret which is mainly why I was hoping to find some information on the census.  I do know she exists as I have a photo of her, that was kept with my Great Grandmothers personal items.   

All my current findings can be found on ancestry.com under 66ness, there is also a lot of pictures on there I have uploaded, some of which we have no clue as to whom they are, but do know they are from the Bedfordshire area, mainly Luton, Eaton Bray, Dunstable.

Have you thought that they may have gone abroad?

With mum's maiden name sounding very Italian  I looked there first.

There is a Mr and Mrs Woodhouse and 2 boys aged bewteen 1 and 12 travelling out on 19 Feb 1909 to Naples from London on the Omrah.

Maybe Maggie was born out there?

Hello Carol - that sounds like a very feasible explanation;  is there any similar records for their return to the UK prior to birth of Arthur in 1912

But then I wonder if the return ones show those that come back from Italy?

I have only found them in the past from farther afield.

Thank you Carol, I had tried looking for if they had immigrated, but didn't find anything, but maybe there is a difference between just travelling and immigrating.  Does sound like it might be them as yes Maggie's family were Italian.  Her grandfather came from Tuscany Italy. 
I had been going through records on ancestry.com, but is there someone where better that I should join and gain informtion from like you have given me?
