 hi just found out my greatgrandmothers parents SHE MARRIED  JAMES  BOWACK My grandmother being  Winifred  Adowa Bowack BORN POONA IN 1894.
  My great grandmother maiden name  Ellen  Sadler born jin India ABT 1856  her father was David Sadler .  Mother MAIDEN NAME  SARAH BOORER marriage soleminised in 1851 at the Bycullah in the Archdeacon and diocese of  Bombay in the east indies in the year of 1851
 David Sadler in the army a gunner in the Bombay ARTILLARY AGE 23 joined army in 1847 in  Tewkesbury , Worcestshire DIED 1873 INDIA ?. .SARAH BOORER BORN 1828. DONT KNOW WHERE .? HER FATHER WILIAM BOORER I found out that the best place to find out about ecords of  English people  born in India can be  in the British Library if you get stuck or the  British consulate records some can be found in the main library fiches indexes and army records .ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE BOORERS IN INDIA OR OTHER COUNTRIES I WOULD BE GRATEFULL FOR . thanks deirdre carden

sorry Deidre , but the only Sarah Boorer I can find with a father William from 1823 to 1832 is
Sarah Boorer
christened 13th June 1832 in Dorking,Surrey
father William Boorer / mother Martha Boorer
Extracted record...........so...it`s 4 years out
only marriage I can find is
William Boorer to Martha Seater 27th December 1816 Christchurch,Greyfriars,Newgate, London...again an extracted record...
maybe another set of eyes may help, but these are the only records I can find within the time scale....

thanks for that...the 1851 marriage record tells us it is SARAH ANN BOORER and her father arrived in India for service on 14th May 1829.....so I think we can discount the 1832 Sarah .....so
Sarah Ann Boorer b 1828 in England  ...... OR  India ? AFTER 1828....if Sarah was born in England she has come to India very young...she marries David Sadler in 1851....
is there any way you can find / or do you have Sarah Ann Boorers mums name

 Hi yes have sent an email to my cousin who gave me the original info re SARA ANN BOORER . I have asked how he found the info as he says that she married David Sadler in 1851 and then goes on to say she was only 14 years old at the time  ?.I cant see how she could have been if born in 1828 .
My great grandmother born in  Bombay in 1856 being  ELLEN SADLER .  I aslo asked how he knew Sarah  Ann BOORER father first name was William as you can only find one married to a Marther in ENGLAND   ? Maybe i will find out tommorow regards  DEIRDRE

 HI YES MY COUSIN LOOKED AT  FIBS AND HE GOT THE INFO THERE .HE GAVE SOME WRONG INFO AS IT WAS DAVID SADLER FATHER WHO WAS A WILLIAM SADLER .MY GREAT GRANDFATHER  JAMES BOWACK HE WAS MARRIED TO ELLEN SADLER BORN IN 1856 AND SHE MARRIED IN  1871  AGE 16..  HER MOTHER WAS SARAH ANN BOORER HE SAYS BOTH CAN BE FOUND ON THIS SITE .HOWEVER I LOOKED AT SEVERAL I FOUND MY GREAT GRANDPARENTS MARRIAGE ELLEN SADLER AND THEN YOU HAVE TO PAY £15PER ANNUM AS SUDDENLY IT STOPPED ME LOOKING MAY BE YOU ONLY GET SO MANY GOES FREE ? .IT WORKS OUT THAT SARAH ANN BOORER WAS ABOUT 23/24 YEARS WHEN MARRIED IN 1851 NOT 14 YEARS AS I THOUGHT MAYBE WRONG TRANSCRIPTION FROM MY COUSIN WHO CONFIRMED ERROR.
I DID FIND A SARAH ANN BOORER ON  ANCESTRYLIBARY .COM ITS CHEAPER TO JUST PAY LIBRARY SUB OF £18 PER YEAR THEN YOU CAN GET ALL INFO AND MANY LIBARIES HAVE FICHES OTHER RECORDS . HOWEVER I   ONLY FOUND A BAPTISM  IN ENGLAND FATHERS NAME FREDERICK CANT CHECK AT MO AS NOT IN LIBRARY EITHER BUT ON PUBLIC COMPUTER  . .PREVIOUSLY YOU FOUND SARAH ANN BOORER RECORDS THAT DID NOT SEEM TO MATCH IN ENGLAND  AS YOU SAID INCONCLUSIVE .MAYBE I CAN FIND OUT MORE FROM FIBS WHAT SHE WAS DOING IN INDIA AND WETHER HER FATHER WAS IN THE ARMY OUT THERE OR WETHER SHE LEFT ENGLAND TO MARRY DAVID SADLER . SO FAR HAVE NOT HAD TIME TO LOOK .
