Would you please check your index for the following persons?  Believe they were all buried in East Wemyss.

James Hogg 25 Sep 1836-27 Apr 1910
Charlotte Hogg 1841-20 Aug 1922
Eliza Angus Hogg 20 Jul 1865-15 Feb 1878
Jane Patterson Hogg 26 Apr 1869-5 Nov 1879
James Hogg 29 Nov 1872-2 Dec 1872
Alexander Hogg 13 Dec 1872-2 Apr 1878

Hi Doug  sorry nothing on index for this family,
if you can let me know who the children married
I can check them.

Norrie,

Thanks for checking, and for offering to follow-up.  The four children mentioned did not marry: their four siblings (not mentioned) left for other counties and/or America.

There is another couple you could check for, if you have the time, although they may have died too early to be in your index.  They are James Arnott (1815-1887) and his wife Elizabeth (nee Angus) Arnott (1810-17 Jan 1876), who are the parents of the Charlotte in my original post.  They could be in either East or West Wemyss.

Appreciate all your help.  Very kind of you to spend so much time and effort assisting those of us with connections to the area.

Sincerely,

Doug

Norrie,

Again, thanks for checking.

Alexander Arnott (1838-1921) married Rachel Bousie (1841-1921) on 29 Jun 1866 in Wemyss Parish.  They had the following children: James (1867), Rachel Menzies (1871), Elizabeth Angus (1873), John (1879) and Agnes (1886).  I believe the entire family ended up in Cleish Parish, Kinross Shire, by 1881.

Doug

Hi Norrie
I wonder if you would have any information on a William Newlands born in Ireland (sorry do not know which part ) in1811 he married Margaret De Burgh( B approx 1822 in Ireland) on the 3 May 1840 William worked in the Kenniel Iron works  in Boness around 1850 they appear to have lived in Glasgow arounbd 1841 to 1849 had a Son Francis born in Oakley in 1849 their other children were born in Glasgow
I notice on one of your posts the Name John Beveridge Margaret appears to have had and illigitmate son born George Beveridge around 1859 then listed as De Burgh Newlands his fathers name does not appear on his birth certificate
