Can you tell me if there is a Headstone at West Wemyss cemetery for WILLIAM MARSHALL he was killed at the Victoria Pit on the 7 February 1924, if so could you let me have a copy of the inscription.

Hi Norris,

Many thanks for replying. William Marshall's parents did not come from Fife.

He married Johan (Joan) Bannerman Laing from West Wemyss in 1916 and he went to live there.
Her parents were John Murray Laing (B1878) and Georgina Bannerman (B1863) and they lived at Main Street, West Wemyss. John Murray Laing's Father was John Laing 1838-1907 and Mother was Fanny Laing 1839-1901 also from West Wemyss maybe William is Buried with the Laings.

I have been searching for William Marshall for about 6 years and only this week found him, ie his marriage and Death records (He was my Mother's brother).

Hi Joy still   nothing for William Marshall but I do have these in West Wemyss Cemetery

68   In memory of Fanny LAING died 2.4.1901 age 63
   wife of John Laing

10   Thomas Bannerman died 27.11.1979 age 88
   Beloved Husband of Agnes Heggie
   And dear father of Elaine

11   Christina Foster HONEYMAN died 2.3.1940 age 55
   husband Alexander BANNERMAN died 6.5.1964 age 77
   son Alexander Addison BANNERMAN died 6.2.1977 age 69

have also checked East Wemyss Cemetery but nothing there
he could have been buried with Fanny &John but nothing on stone
