Hi Nairam  this is the inscription from East Wemyss Cemetery

341 Peter Foster CARGILL husband of Mary Craig GOLDIE
Born 5.10.1894 died 29.3.1959
Above Mary Craig GOLDIE  b. 26.9.1895 d. 27.3.1973

Peter Foster Cargill was the son of William Cargill & Mary Foster
William Cargill was married to Isabella Gordon  1843 Wemyss
is this the line you are researching?. Have more stones on this line.

Yes this is the line of my family. Wow this is more than I hoped for as my Mum doesn't have any info about her grandparents. Anything you can provide me with is greatly appreciated.   Thank you so much!

Hi Nairam  who were your mothers Grandparents? or parents
I have a number of Cargill & Foster inscriptions in East Wemys Cemetery

the Isabella Gordon 1821 who married William Cargill
was the daughter of George Gordon & Janet Mathieson he was the
son of  Andrew Gordon & Agnes McAuthie my ggggrandfather

My mother's parents were
Peter Foster Cargill and Mary Craig Goldie Cargill
her Grandparents were:
 William Cargill and Mary Foster,
 and Great Grandparents were Andrew Cargill and Isabella Gordon Cargill, and Peter Foster and Barbara Foster.

With your info we can go back further:
Great Great Grandparents:
George Gordon and Janet Mathieson

Great Great Great Grandparents:
Andrew Gordon and Agnes McAuthie

           his wife Isabella GORDON died 1.5.1911 age 90
           Alexander Thomson husband of Jessie CARGILL
          Died 20.12.1913 age 59
          Above Jessie CARGILL died 25.6.1938 age 86
          William CARGILL died 5.9.1908 age 58
          wife Mary FOSTER died 6.10.1924 age 70

85   James Herd died 15.7.1908 age 42
   wife Agnes Roger died 9.4.1946 age 80
   Agnes & David died in infancy
