Just trying to get this straight in my head is Nancy married in 1851 or with her parents? If she was married obviously there wont be a birth for her under the name of Jenkins

Nancy-the-mother-of-Lazarus is married (1848, Redruth methinks) in 1851, to John Bray

Nancy-the-mother-of-Nancy is married to Tom Martin, and has knocked 10 years off her age in 1851 (allegedly!).  Still living in Illogan though.

But which one is Nancy Jenkins?

The one who married Tom Martin.

I was pondering the idea that the Martin marriage may have been a second one of Nancy (and maybe Tom).  If she is born 1790 - 1795, then that makes her 30 - 35 if the Kea marriage is the correct one (big if, I know).  Do we have any proof that her maiden name was definitely Jenkins?

The Lazarus Jenkin who died in Dec 1862, may have got married earlier that year (Sept qtr Truro).  Unfortunately, the index is mangled so it can't show who else is on the page

Nancy Jenkins c1979
The one who married Tom Martin.

m. to Thomas Jenkins

"Family of nancy jenkins is very difficult to find. 1851 census shows born st keverne but there is no record of a nancy jenkins born st keverne. I have taken a guess as the most likely family is of a william jenkins married mary tripcony in 1792 in st keverne."

I'm afraid I don't have any proof that her maiden name was Jenkins..........Peter who gave me the details added this (hope it can help) I have taken a guess as the most likely family is of a william jenkins married mary tripcony in 1792 in st keverne."

Kea & Illogan are different parishes is they married in Kea but lived in Illogan then banns would have to be read in both parishes increasing costs and the entry would state of the parish of Illogan

But we only know they are in Illogan from the 1841 census, we don't really know where they were previously.  Nancy Bray nee Martin says she is from Truro on the 1861 census, but I haven't looked at her POB on the other censuses.

1851 - Kenwyn
1861 - Truro
1871 - Truro
1881 - Illogan

Have you looked for an Ann Jenkin(s) born in St Keverne.  Nancy is a pet name of Ann I believe.
