James Oakes died 1867 but his brother Charles b.1826 was also involved in the business as were 3 sons of the family.
James b. c.1859;George b.c.1862 & Charles b.c.1863.So if it's them in the middle of this photo it would have to be late 1880's-1890's.

I don't claim any specialist knowledge but they do have a late Victorian 'look', so I'd agree with 1880s/90s

I'm certainly no authority but the photo brought to my mind the one below.
This was taken in NZ in 1910. (Maybe we were decades behind the rest of the world but to my untrained eye the attire appears quite similar).
